We are seeking a motivated and passionate individual to join our 2025 Emergency and Critical Care Internship program at Greencross Vets. This immersive 12-month internship is designed to provide you with unparalleled clinical exposure, structured mentorship, and continuous education in emergency and critical care.
As an intern, you will work alongside our team of experienced veterinarians, including multiple MANZCVS veterinarians and a DACVECC, to develop your skills and knowledge in emergency and critical care. You will be exposed to a large, diverse caseload, supporting familiarity with common presentations and early application of knowledge.
Key Benefits- Early active participation in the ECC environment with progressive transition to case responsibility based on readiness
- Active involvement in daily ECC rounds and attendance at regular ECC tutorials
- Rotation through other departments of the hospital, including surgery and internal medicine, to further develop your knowledge and skills
- Mentorship by senior veterinarians, including multiple MANZCVS veterinarians and direct supervision and guidance from our DACVECC
- Encouragement, support, and provision for preparation for Membership examinations of the Australian and New Zealand College (if eligible) or other post-graduate training opportunities
- Competitive remuneration, including 5 weeks of annual leave and 1 week of study leave for conference or externship attendance

QualificationsTo be eligible for this internship, you must be eligible for registration with the Veterinary Practitioners Board of Victoria and have a passion for Emergency and Critical Care. You should have a keen eye for detail and a conscientious work ethic, as well as excellent communication skills and a willingness to learn and thrive in a team environment.
