Job Description

We are seeking a skilled professional to manage our freight operations and ensure the accuracy of information in our systems.

The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating the utilisation of contracted nightly freight carrier services, assisting with the preparation and analysis of RFPs, and reviewing service level agreements of contracted carriers.

Additionally, they will develop and maintain dashboards and scorecards to review freight vendor performance and costs, and provide assistance with freight quotations selecting the best cost/transit time to meet business requirements.

  • Coordinate the utilisation of contracted nightly freight carrier services for inbound purchased goods.
  • Assist with preparation and analysis of RFPs and review of service level agreements of contracted carriers.
  • Develop/maintain dashboards and scorecards to allow review of freight vendor performance and costs / freight recovery analysis for all shipments of parts into / out of the PDC by transport mode.
  • Monitor importation shipments updating arrival dates in ERP system (IDS), report and communicate weekly to stakeholders.
  • Provide assistance with freight quotations selecting best cost/transit time to meet business requirements.
  • Coordinate the freight bookings for export shipments, work with warehouse, inventory & customer service teams as appropriate.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Certificate or Diploma in supply chain, logistics or similar substantial industry experience.
  • Knowledge of inbound / outbound domestic & international freight arrangements.
  • Knowledge / background in inventory management or supply chain operations.
  • Ability to read, comprehend and summarise policy documents.
  • Proficient user of MS Office suite of tools to build reports and present information.
  • Willingness and ability to work with computer operating systems.
  • Communicate effectively with others - the ability to work as part of a team and has a commitment to being a team player.

  • Time management and multitasking.
