Job Overview:

We are seeking an experienced professional to oversee our critical logistics operations.

This full-time, permanent role will see you playing a key part in ensuring the efficient and effective movement of goods across our national transport network.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage a team of transport coordinators and drivers to ensure the timely and cost-effective dispatch and delivery of freight.
  • Oversee the planning, scheduling and optimisation of transport routes and resources to meet KPIs.
  • Monitor and report on transport metrics to drive continuous improvement.
  • Ensure all transport operations are compliant with relevant regulations and safety standards.
  • Liaise with customers to understand their needs and develop tailored transport solutions.
  • Drive innovation and the adoption of new technologies to enhance productivity and customer service.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to identify and action opportunities to enhance operations.

Requirements:

  • Extensive experience in a senior transport or logistics management role, ideally within the freight industry.
  • Excellent knowledge of transport planning, scheduling and operations management.
  • Strong commercial acumen and a customer-centric mindset.
  • Outstanding communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Proficient in the use of transport management systems and data analysis tools.
  • Tertiary qualification in Logistics, Supply Chain or a related discipline is highly regarded.
