About The Role

The Site Engineer will assist with coordination of on-site construction engineering activities to ensure short-term planning and programming are completed in conjunction with site supervision.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure compliance with technical specifications, legislation, approvals, standards, and risk management process.
  • Conduct job planning and programming for approval by the Project Manager.
  • Input information and undertake minor design on site, monitor and recommend changes to design details.
  • Exercise professional judgment in resolving engineering issues.
  • Demonstrate financial management skills, including reducing costs.
  • Verify subcontractors' claims and variations.
  • Implement and communicate risk controls and actions involved in project delivery.
  • Report on project performance, compliance, defects, and non-conformance.
  • Undertake safety, environment, and quality risk assessments.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Construction management and technical skills relevant to the program.
  • Experience in planning, development, and review of complex projects.
  • Implementation of audits and schedule processes.
  • Skills in document and record management, progress, and performance reporting.
  • Risk assessment and monitoring of risk controls in project delivery.
  • Proficiency in relevant software: Microsoft Suite; Primavera 6 (advantageous), Aconex, etc.
  • Strong communication skills, including facilitating meetings and basic cost control skills.
