Transport Infrastructure Specialist

The role of Transport Infrastructure Specialist plays a vital part in shaping the City's future transport system. This position requires a professional with exceptional traffic engineering skills and a passion for developing sustainable and safe transport solutions.

As a key member of the Traffic Engineering team, you will work closely with other specialists to identify and implement operational and innovative solutions that ensure the transport system is efficient, responsive, and meets the needs of the community.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Conducting thorough investigations into complex traffic management and road safety issues.
  • Developing and reviewing infrastructure design drawings to ensure compliance with relevant standards.
  • Liaising with internal and external stakeholders to provide expert advice and guidance on transport matters.
  • Preparing reports and correspondence related to transport and traffic engineering matters.

Required qualifications and skills include:

  • Bachelor degree in Civil Engineering or demonstrated equivalent experience and knowledge working in the traffic and transport sector.
  • Unrestricted Class C drivers license and a current WHS License General Construction White Card.
  • Highly developed interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to solve complex problems and confidence to provide sound advice and recommendations.
