Position Overview
As a valued member of the Calvary Home Care team, you will utilize your expertise as a Registered Nurse to deliver care to clients with high acuity needs across various short-term and long-term programs. Your role will involve providing intricate care while working autonomously and collaboratively within a team. Key Duties
- Administer IV, IM, SC, and PO medications
- Perform IV Cannulation
- Deliver advanced wound care
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in client records
- Communicate effectively within the clinical team to ensure optimal care
- Conduct initial assessments and develop care plans for the best client outcomes
- Regularly monitor and update care plans to ensure appropriate service delivery
- Provide education to clients and their families to promote the best possible outcomes
- Identify and respond to clinical deterioration with appropriate escalation
Qualifications and Skills
- Current AHPRA Nursing Registration
- Willingness to obtain necessary checks, including NDIS and Police Clearance
- Access to a personal vehicle with KM allowance
- Valid driver's license
- CPR and Manual Handling certifications
- Minimum of one year of experience in an acute care setting
- Preference for candidates with knowledge of community nursing, including Home Care Packages and Commonwealth Home Support Program
