Cafe Supervisor Job Description

As a cafe supervisor, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth operation of our establishment, maintaining high service standards, and providing guidance and support to our team members.

This is a key leadership position that requires strong organizational and time management skills, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills. You will be responsible for supervising and coordinating daily activities of the cafe and restaurant, training and motivating team members to deliver outstanding customer service, and leading by example to demonstrate excellent service and uphold our brand standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and coordinate daily activities of the cafe and restaurant.
  • Train and motivate team members to deliver exceptional customer service.
  • Lead by example, demonstrating excellent service and upholding our brand standards.
  • Oversee dining area operations, including table setup and cleanliness.
  • Monitor food and beverage quality and presentation.
  • Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure timely delivery of orders.
  • Handle customer inquiries and feedback promptly and professionally.
  • Manage cash handling and POS operations.
  • Maintain inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies.
  • Implement and enforce health and safety regulations.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a supervisory role within a cafe or restaurant setting.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A customer-centric mindset and ability to handle challenging situations calmly.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Sound knowledge of food and beverage service procedures.
