Job Description

We are seeking a skilled coordinator to lead habitat regeneration activities and develop projects that support biodiversity conservation in the Werribee River catchment.

  • The role involves leading teams of contractors, staff and volunteers to deliver projects such as site preparation, planting, weed control and maintenance.
  • Responsibilities also include planning, preparing, promoting and delivering community engagement events and volunteer days.
  • The successful applicant will be required to manage budgets, schedules, and reporting requirements for these projects.

About You

To be considered for this role, you must have:

  • At least 5 years' experience in habitat regeneration or ecological restoration, including working knowledge of OH&S requirements for land management.
  • A strong understanding of plant identification skills (indigenous and weed species) and restoration principles.
  • Demonstrated experience coordinating projects and managing teams, with ability to foster a positive workplace culture.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with landholders, volunteers, community and partners.
  • A certificate IV/Diploma in Conservation & Land Management (or equivalent experience).
  • ChemCert AQF 3, or equivalent.
  • Current First Aid Certificate.
  • A Victorian driver's licence and ability to drive a manual 4WD vehicle.
  • A Working With Children Check and police check (or willingness to obtain).
  • A legal right to work in Australia.
