Habitat Restoration Coordinator

We are seeking a skilled coordinator to lead habitat regeneration activities and develop projects that support biodiversity conservation in the Werribee River catchment.
- The role involves leading teams of contractors, staff and volunteers to deliver projects such as site preparation, planting, weed control and maintenance.
- Responsibilities also include planning, preparing, promoting and delivering community engagement events and volunteer days.
- The successful applicant will be required to manage budgets, schedules, and reporting requirements for these projects.
About You
To be considered for this role, you must have:
- At least 5 years' experience in habitat regeneration or ecological restoration, including working knowledge of OH&S requirements for land management.
- A strong understanding of plant identification skills (indigenous and weed species) and restoration principles.
- Demonstrated experience coordinating projects and managing teams, with ability to foster a positive workplace culture.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with landholders, volunteers, community and partners.
- A certificate IV/Diploma in Conservation & Land Management (or equivalent experience).
- ChemCert AQF 3, or equivalent.
- Current First Aid Certificate.
- A Victorian driver's licence and ability to drive a manual 4WD vehicle.
- A Working With Children Check and police check (or willingness to obtain).
- A legal right to work in Australia.
