The Professor of Nursing is a key position that oversees the development and implementation of nursing research, scholarship, and teaching to enhance student learning experiences.
This role involves providing strategic leadership in research and clinical projects, academic supervision, and publishing high-quality papers. The successful candidate will work closely with Metro North Health and contribute to clinician research capability within the hospital.
- Developing research programs focused on translating evidence into clinical practice.
- Leading academic and research excellence initiatives.
- Mentoring students and staff to achieve their full potential.
The ideal candidate will have a doctoral qualification in Nursing, current registration as a Registered Nurse, and proven expertise in research and academic publication. Strong communication and stakeholder management skills are essential for success in this role.
ResponsibilitiesAs Professor of Nursing, you will:
- Provide leadership and make outstanding contributions to research, scholarship, and teaching.
- Contribute to governance and collegial life of the Faculty of Health Sciences and The Prince Charles Hospital.
- Build relationships with external organisations and related communities.
ACU and The Prince Charles Hospital seek a Professor in Nursing who holds:
- A doctoral qualification in Nursing.
- Current registration in AHPRA as a Registered Nurse.
- Proven expertise in producing high-quality publications and competitive grants.
- Demonstrated experience working on research and clinical projects, including academic supervision.
