Salary and Benefits

The estimated salary range for this role is $27.35 per hour, with opportunities for above award rates and penalty rates, including Sunday and Public Holidays. Additionally, you will receive 5 weeks' Paid Annual Leave, Paid Parental Leave, Family & Community Leave and other benefits such as 24/7 access to our Employee Assistance Program for health and wellbeing support, 15% Co-worker discount, and low-cost nutritious meals including complimentary drinks in our Co-worker restaurant.

Job Description

We are seeking a Sales Co-worker to join our team within IKEA. The successful candidate will be responsible for engaging and assisting customers in understanding their needs and providing knowledge on IKEA products and services to support their purchasing decisions. They will also participate in selling products with a positive attitude and contribute to business goals and growth.

In addition, the Sales Co-worker will be responsible for condensing stock, working closely with the fulfilment team to ensure the self serve warehouse is always well-stocked, tidy and presentable, and building strong relationships with their team and other departments to promote a collaborative and inclusive work environment.

As a Sales Co-worker, you will have the opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritise tasks and manage your own workload, while maintaining a calm and confident approach and strong communication and customer skills.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to be passionate about home furnishing products and working with customers, proficient in computer skills, and able to learn about all technical aspects of the IKEA range.

You will also need to have a 'Togetherness' mindset, where you will work closely with your team and other departments yet also be able to work independently, and a safety mindset, being comfortable with physical work and manual handling including repetitive lifting.
