Job Description:

This exciting opportunity is for an ambitious and driven event operations coordinator to join a high-volume hospitality venue in the heart of Melbourne. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the venue manager in day-to-day operations, taking ownership of functions and events, and managing enquiries and logistics.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum 2-3 years of experience in hospitality management or a similar supervisory/assistant managerial role. They will also possess proven experience in running or coordinating events/functions, strong communication and interpersonal skills, quick thinking and problem-solving skills, and a strong understanding of venue operations and customer service excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assisting in overseeing daily operations of the venue
  • Taking ownership of functions and events, including managing enquiries, coordinating logistics, and liaising with clients
  • Supporting the venue manager in staff training, development, and performance management
  • Handling guest feedback, problem-solving on the floor, and ensuring any issues are resolved promptly and professionally
  • Working collaboratively with the team to uphold service standards and maintain a positive team culture

To succeed in this role, you will need:
