We are seeking a skilled product designer and estimator to join our team. As an Estimator and Designer, you will play a key role in creating innovative packaging solutions that meet the needs of our clients.

Your primary responsibilities will include designing product packaging and basic graphics for visualisation and concept presentations, as well as products for custom applications. You will also support the creation of product illustrations, concept sketches, diagrams, design specifications, and technical drawings (die lines).

In addition to your design skills, you will be responsible for evaluating design ideas considering appearance, design-function relationships, serviceability, materials, methods engineering, application, budget, price, production costs, methods of production, market characteristics, and client specifications.

You will work closely with our sales team to provide daily quoting support and participate in the tender process from initial quoting to commercial analysis. Your goal will be to identify cost savings opportunities to improve customer margins on new and existing materials.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Designing product packaging and basic graphics for visualisation and concept presentations.">
  • Supporting the creation of product illustrations, concept sketches, diagrams, design specifications, and technical drawings (die lines).">
  • Evaluating design ideas considering appearance, design-function relationships, serviceability, materials, methods engineering, application, budget, price, production costs, methods of production, market characteristics, and client specifications.">
  • Fulfilling our speed-to-market agenda and driving our digital strategy.">
  • Providing daily quoting support to our sales team.">
  • Participating in the tender process from initial quoting to commercial analysis.">
  • Identifying cost savings opportunities to improve customer margins on new and existing materials.">

Requirements:

  • Packaging design and estimating experience.">
  • The ability to articulate and communicate creative ideas via concept sketching or verbal presentations.">
  • A good understanding of 3-dimensional form and space.">
  • Ability to prepare accurate technical specifications (e.g., die lines) for quotation and manufacturing.">
  • Proficiency with CAD programs to create models and renderings.">
  • Ability to build physical models and prototypes to bring concepts to life.">
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage time effectively.">
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.">
