Job Title: Digital Communications Manager

Job Description:

This role is responsible for leading and managing a team to develop, deliver, and evaluate innovative and effective media and digital communication strategies targeting diverse audiences. Key responsibilities include developing and delivering comprehensive communications plans, managing relationships with the media, monitoring the media environment, and providing expert advice on public relations and digital communications.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and deliver comprehensive communications plans that align with departmental strategic priorities and business needs.
  • Manage and build influential relationships with the media to promote the work of the department.
  • Monitor the media environment to identify opportunities and risks, and provide expert advice on public relations and digital communications.
  • Provide coaching and training for staff required to interact with the media.
  • Manage workflow, resourcing, and program management across media and digital deliverables.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience in managing teams and leading communications strategies.
  • Expertise in digital communications, including social media, content creation, and media engagement.
  • Strong relationship-building skills, with the ability to influence key stakeholders.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex ideas simply.
  • Ability to think strategically, prioritize tasks effectively, and manage competing deadlines.
