Key Role Overview

This critical position involves leading embellishment initiatives, managing co-pack operations, and driving packaging sustainability efforts. The ideal candidate will be a key contributor to delivering packaging solutions aligned with marketing, packaging operations, and environmental goals.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Leverage expertise in packaging embellishment projects including specialty finishes, labelling, artwork development and prepare specification/documentation.
  • Collaborate closely with design, technical, and brand teams to ensure visual excellence and packaging feasibility.
  • Promote cost, quality, and speed-to-market optimizations in embellishment.
  • Serve as the primary liaison between internal stakeholders and co-packers.
  • Oversee readiness of packaging components, timelines, and production accuracy.
Packaging Sustainability Initiatives:
  • Align packaging availability with production and launch timelines effectively.
  • Anticipate and communicate risks related to material delays or co-packing constraints proactively.
  • Manage embellishment operations with Australia and NZ-specific embellishment sites to ensure on-time product availability consistently.
  • Control inventory movement between Reckitt warehouses and embellishment sites, including stock reconciliation (monthly), Ad-hoc PO creation in SAP, and rework activities efficiently.
  • Support the implementation of sustainable materials (e.g., PCR, recyclability improvements) across packaging formats strategically.
  • Stay up-to-date on sustainability regulations and ensure packaging compliance fully.
Essential Skills and Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Packaging Engineering, Industrial Engineering or Supply Chain is required.
  • A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in packaging, preferably in FMCG or healthcare industries.
  • Strong understanding of embellishment techniques, co-packing operations, and sustainable packaging materials is necessary.
