Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Engineering Specialist to join our team in Canberra, Australian Capital Territory.

This exciting opportunity involves providing technical leadership and guidance to ensure successful outcomes across various projects.

The ideal candidate will have a tertiary qualification in Engineering and eligibility for registration as a Professional Engineer.


Responsibilities
  • Acting as a trusted technology advisor to provide strategic technical direction.
  • Developing comprehensive technical plans and monitoring progress to drive project success.
  • Managing technology change processes, including configuration management and change control to minimize risks.
  • Performing systems engineering tasks in line with industry standards and policies.
  • Collaborating with stakeholders to deliver projects against specified requirements and ensuring system integrity.

Requirements
  • Tertiary qualification in Engineering and eligibility for registration as a Professional Engineer.
  • Significant experience in applying systems engineering processes to complex systems.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to work collaboratively.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to work independently or in a team.
  • Experience in aviation safety management systems and knowledge of Civil Aviation Safety Regulations Part 171 (desirable).
  • Highly desirable: Experience in designing, maintaining, and supporting air traffic management systems, particularly in VHF, UHF, and HF communications domains.
