About the Role

As an Aviation Technical Trainer, you will be part of a dynamic team responsible for delivering technical training and assessments on the Hawk Lead-in Fighter (LIF) aircraft program.

This is an exciting opportunity to utilise your technical expertise and make a meaningful contribution to Defence Aviation projects. You will have the flexibility to adapt your delivery style to suit different learning styles and work with a supportive team to develop a technical workforce that meets current and future business objectives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Demonstrate technical training and aircraft expertise in delivering workplace inductions and utilising contemporary learning strategies
  • Plan and conduct technical assessments, including competency verification
  • Contribute to the design and development of training and assessment content
  • Provide mentoring support to the workforce
  • Contribute to configuration management of technical training material
  • Prepare training materials and undertake technical writing activities
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40116)
  • Experience working within a DASA/CASA Pt145 and/or Pt147 organisation
  • Aviation technical experience
  • Experience with training and learning management systems, including training design
  • Ability to adapt your delivery style to suit different learners' needs
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
