
Injury Care Specialist

We are seeking an Injury Care Specialist to join our team, who will provide expert guidance and support to Team Members through their recovery journey.
This role involves delivering best-practice injury management, rehabilitation, and return-to-work strategies to ensure seamless recovery and successful outcomes.
You will be responsible for managing a portfolio of early intervention and workers' compensation claims, collaborating with stakeholders to drive effective return-to-work plans and achieving positive outcomes.
Key responsibilities include:
- Partnering with relevant stakeholders to drive strategies and ensure early engagement in treatment, claims management, return to work, redeployment and claim closure.
- Engaging with operational teams to provide training and mentoring in managing return to work and relevant legislative compliance.
- Providing support to operational teams in resolving injury management issues and developing strategies for improvement and intervention.
- Managing a Return to Work portfolio to ensure it continues to meet legislative and self-insurance obligations.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 3 years experience in workers' compensation and injury management, specifically in claims management end-to-end.
- Allied health qualifications such as Occupational Therapy, Exercise Physiology or Physiotherapy will be highly regarded.
- A deep understanding of return to work and rehabilitation best practices, able to devise and adapt strategies for individuals based on medical and workplace information.
- Solid understanding of workers' compensation self-insurance regimes, requirements and practices.
- Demonstrated ability to run injury management and return to work matters end-to-end.
- Knowledge of creating and implementing sound strategic workers compensation and injurycare practices.
