Workplace Injury Specialist

The Workplace Injury Specialist will play a key role in supporting employees who have suffered workplace injuries, ensuring that they receive the necessary care and support to facilitate their return to work.

Key responsibilities include managing workers compensation claims, liaising with external stakeholders, and developing return-to-work plans. The successful candidate will possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills, excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

  • Manage workers compensation claims to minimize time loss and impact on premiums
  • Liaise effectively with external stakeholders, including StateCover, medical practitioners, and relevant legislative bodies
  • Develop non-work-related return-to-work plans to support employees
  • Update and maintain records and databases to ensure accurate storage and accessibility
  • Promote a positive and collaborative culture through open and transparent decision making and professional behavior

Key requirements for the position include:

  • Experience in injury management or occupational health
  • Strong knowledge of relevant legislation and best practices in injury management
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
