Risk Acquisitions Manager

About the RoleThis is an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Risk Acquisitions Manager. As a key member of our team, you'll play a crucial role in helping us directly contribute to the strategic review of ANZ's CCPL business. Your primary responsibility will be to create and implement frameworks that reduce ANZ's exposure to credit risk and resulting financial losses.
As a Risk Acquisitions Manager, you'll be responsible for developing and implementing acquisition strategies that balance customer experience, credit automation, process simplification, new business writing, and managing loss exposure. You'll work closely with our operational teams to deliver an agreed work plan that aligns with our operational strategies and delivers the greatest benefit to the wider organisation.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Displaying thought leadership in the development and implementation of acquisition strategies
- Assisting in the delivery of an agreed work plan across acquisition strategies
- Contributing to performance conversations with an operational and strategic focus
- Assisting with the development and documentation of acquisition strategies
- Assisting with the prioritization of tasks and projects to ensure optimal resource usage and business benefit
- Providing technical advice, training, and mentoring to team members
We're seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional with a strong analytical and numerical background. You'll have a proven ability to turn data into information and information into actionable business decision strategies. Your technical capabilities and experience with data analytics and decision systems techniques and tools will be highly valued.
Key requirements include:
- At least ten years' experience in risk management with extensive cross-functional and cross-portfolio strategy experience
- Strong analytical, numerical, research, and problem-solving skills
- Proven technical capabilities and experience with data analytics and decision systems techniques and tools
- Effective people and project management skills with the ability to motivate analysts
- Well-developed written and oral skills
- Demonstrated financial skills in portfolio management
