Ensuring Compliance in Training and Assessment

The role of a Compliance Officer is crucial in guaranteeing that training and assessment materials adhere to current legislative standards.

As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for ensuring compliance against Vocational Education and Training legislation and the Australian Qualifications Framework for Registered Training Organisations (RTOs) when delivering nationally accredited and non-accredited training and assessment to staff and volunteers.

The Compliance Officer role provides quality assurance to ensure that the development or changes to training and assessment material is compliant against current legislative standards. You will work closely with other teams to review and develop quality SES training and development products, services, and systems.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing RTO compliance for the organisation to ensure compliance and alignment with current legislation, regulations, and industry standards
  • Developing, reviewing, and maintaining plans, schedules, quality control, and version control of all training policies and procedures, manuals, and regulation documentation
  • Coordinating and implementing regional RTO audit plans of training and assessment material in consultation with regional and state training units
