About Our Mental Health Team

We are seeking a highly skilled psychiatrist to join our mental health team, providing high-quality clinical services to consumers of the service.

The successful candidate will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to achieve optimal patient outcomes.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Providing high-quality psychiatry services to consumers of the service.
  • Providing clinical leadership for the mental health clinical team.
  • Developing and implementing effective mental health care plans across a range of settings.
  • Working collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to achieve optimal patient outcomes.

Required qualifications and skills include:

  • A Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) or equivalent eligible for registration with the Medical Board of Australia.
  • Registration or eligibility for registration as a Specialist in Psychiatry with the Australian Health Practitioner Agency (AHPRA).
  • Extensive skills in facilitating effective mental health care across the continuum of Forensic Mental Health settings.

What We Offer

Our team offers a competitive salary package, including:

  • A salary rate between $251,527 - $266,677 p.a. (L25-L27)
  • A salary rate between $210,332 - $244,313 p.a. (L18-L24)
  • 12.75% employer superannuation contribution
  • 17.5% leave loading
