About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled People Advisory Specialist to join our team in the People Strategy and Operations Division. As a key member of the People Advisory team, you will play a pivotal role in leading the standard of HR service provided to all employees of the department.

Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Providing expert HR advice on People Services matters to a diverse VPS corporate workforce.
  • Effectively prioritizing and managing all People Services enquiries within established SLAs, with accurate and timely service.
  • Working collaboratively with your team and others within People Services for managing complex case escalations.
  • Establishing comprehensive knowledge of departmental processes and policies for HR services.
  • Escalating complex cases to subject matter experts in other areas of the People Strategy & Operations Division as necessary.
  • Identifying emerging people trends to drive informed decisions and proactively identifying ongoing process and system improvement initiatives for level 0 service support.

To be successful in this role, you will need to demonstrate exceptional People Advisory service capability, enjoy complex problem-solving, and be a great communicator with excellent customer service skills.

We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced professional who can bring their expertise to this newly established function and contribute to the success of our new People Services operating model.

Key Requirements:

  • A Tertiary qualification in HR or similar.
  • Demonstrated experience working in a dynamic, high-performing payroll, HR advisory, or talent acquisition function.
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of HR policies, procedures, and practices.
  • Proven ability to effectively engage and build positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders at all levels.
  • Ability to interpret and convey specialist HR concepts and policies to diverse stakeholders.
  • Effective problem-solving capability to resolve or escalate operational service queries.
