Position Overview

Role Summary:
This position serves as a strategic advisory role within the Defence Facilities Management sector. The successful candidate will oversee the execution of critical and impactful projects related to facilities management.

About You:
Your extensive background in both defence and facilities management, combined with a commitment to continuous improvement, will be essential in this role. You will be responsible for guiding the development of facilities management practices across Defence locations, leveraging your industry expertise to provide insightful analysis and recommendations.

Key Responsibilities:
Your main duties will include:

  • Conducting thorough assessments of current facilities to identify opportunities for operational enhancements and cost efficiencies.
  • Leading projects focused on continuous improvement and the integration of innovative technologies within facilities management.
  • Establishing governance frameworks across various locations, ensuring clarity in roles, systems, processes, and procedures in line with best practices.

This role will initially focus on facilities within Australia, with potential expansion to New Zealand as business needs evolve.

Qualifications:
To excel in this position, you should possess:

  • Australian Citizenship with the capability to obtain and maintain Defence Security Clearance.
  • Significant recent experience in senior facilities management roles.
  • A robust background in delivering facilities projects within the Defence sector.
  • A Bachelor's degree in engineering, project management, or a related field is preferred.
  • AIPM Certified Practicing Senior Project Manager status or an agreement to achieve this within a year.
