Expert Project Cost Controller

Job Summary
The Senior Cost Manager plays a pivotal role in the company's financial success by overseeing project profitability and expanding the organization's presence in the local property market to increase brand recognition and generate new business leads.
- Contribute to the development of bid strategies and negotiate contracts, collaborating with cost management teams in South Australia and providing support as required.
- Work independently, taking ownership of deliverables, producing feasibility studies, writing procurement reports, estimating and cost planning, tendering and procurement, and effectively managing post-contract cost variances and change control processes.
- Carry out on-site progress claim assessments, taking personal responsibility for making cost checks and conducting valuations on larger projects.
- Participate in value engineering initiatives and produce monthly post-contract cost reports for the Line Manager to present to clients.
Qualifications and Skills
- Hold a recognized degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Preference given to RICS and AIQS accreditation.
- Sound experience in cost planning across Healthcare, Education, and Commercial projects.
- Previous defence experience and baseline security clearance are considered advantageous.
