Laing O'Rourke is a global construction and infrastructure company with 70 years of experience in Australia. We deliver diverse projects, from military bases to landmark buildings, and own one of Australia's largest plant and equipment hire companies.
The Mid-Term Refresh Project will provide Base Support Infrastructure improvements at RAAF Darwin to support the sustained operation of the Base. The Project will develop and deliver new main and heavy vehicle entrances along with support civil and infrastructure works.
We were awarded as the Managing Contractor for the delivery of the project, and Construction is forecast to be completed by mid-2027.
About the RoleWe are seeking a Planning and Project Controls Manager to join us on the project in Darwin, NT. This role will support in the development and implementation of project strategy, delivering the optimum delivery methodology and coordinating resources.
Key Responsibilities- Manage time-related issues in the contract
- Develop Programmes throughout all project stages
- Integrate 3D CAD models and programmes
- Maintain programme and other time-related material that ensures the sequence and timing of all operations considered/optimised for successful project completion within required time constraints
- Understand and communicate the sequence of activities critical for project delivery; and the consequences of not completing other planned activities
- Implement robust Project Controls and accurate reporting and forecasting
- Degree or equivalent in an Engineering- or Construction-related discipline
- Good communication skills – verbal and written
- Problem-solving capabilities, team player
- Microsoft office, Navisworks, PRISMG2 and Primavera P6
