We are seeking a seasoned legal professional to join our team as Sr Legal Advisor. This exciting opportunity will enable the successful candidate to make a meaningful impact on women's access to justice in the Northern Territory.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver high-quality legal advice, representation and casework in complex matters.
  • Supervise and mentor a team of solicitors, providing guidance and support to ensure successful outcomes.
  • Act as Principal Legal Officer when required, exercising leadership and strategic thinking skills.
  • Develop and implement community outreach initiatives, promoting legal education and awareness.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders across various sectors, including legal, government and community organizations.
Requirements and Qualifications:
  • Admission as a solicitor in Australia, with eligibility for an NT Practising Certificate.
  • A minimum of 4 years post-admission experience in relevant practice areas.
  • Experience or strong interest in DFSV, family law or child protection, with a focus on trauma-informed and culturally safe practice.
  • Leadership and mentoring skills, ideally within a legal practice context.
  • Additional requirements include Ochre Card (WWCC), National Police Clearance and Manual Driver's Licence.
