About the Role:
We are looking for experienced Disability Support Workers to join our team in Normanhurst Region (NSW). As a support worker, you will assist individuals with daily living skills, social and recreational activities, and implement practices that promote a healthier lifestyle.
Key Responsibilities Include:
- - Building rapport and collaborating effectively with staff/management, participants, their family, and friends.
- - Assisting with liaison to explore new goals, ambitions, and provide solid communication.
- - Increasing participant skills through active support and promoting independence.
- - Providing quality and professional support in line with participants' plans, needs, and wants.
- - Implementing strategies to develop/enhance participant skills and identify areas of increased support.
Additional Duties May Include:
- Personal Care.
- Working with participants with complex behaviours.
- General Domestic Duties.
- Transportation.
- Social and Community Participation.
