Job Description

The Senior Procurement Strategist will lead the entire sourcing process for Digital and Technology related initiatives, encompassing various pillars such as Reserves & Subsurface, Technology and Innovation, Telecommunications, IT, Cyber, Digital / AI, Enterprise Systems, and capital project technology requirements.

Main Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute comprehensive sourcing strategies for corporate stakeholders with their Digital related contracting needs.
  • Foster engagement with stakeholders to comprehend business requirements and provide counsel on contract approaches, procurement options, and methods to achieve the lowest total cost of ownership.
  • Negotiate and finalize contract terms and conditions through to successful contract award.
  • Provide insightful reporting and analysis, supporting the ongoing development of the Technical Services category.
  • Demonstrate flexibility and assist across portfolios as needed.
  • Exhibit a profound understanding of procurement ethics to conduct sourcing activities in a professional and ethical manner.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • University degree in Business, Finance, or other relevant disciplines/relevant experience in a Contracting and Sourcing role.
  • Proven experience in the procurement of Technology Related Products Services and Solutions or demonstrated ability to translate existing contracting and procurement skills to a new and previously unknown category.
  • Exceptional communication skills with an ability to interact and influence at all levels within the organization.
  • Pre-award experience and ability to manage the end-to-end tender process.
  • A well-organized self-starter with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize across multiple activities and stakeholder groups.
  • A positive and proactive person who works well with people of different backgrounds and skills.
