**Job Title:** Senior Financial Strategist The role of the Senior Financial Strategist is to lead and oversee the financial analysis of strategic programs and initiatives, ensuring alignment with organizational priorities and maximizing stakeholder and customer value to achieve customer-centric outcomes. Key Responsibilities: 
  • Lead and manage a team of financial analysts to deliver financial and cost analyses for business case submissions and funding proposals.
  • Conduct cost, benefits, and financial analyses to prepare reports on proposal affordability and funding implications.
  • Provide consolidated financial reports ensuring consistency and compliance with NSW Treasury guidelines.
  • Manage project deliverables and timelines to meet reporting obligations to stakeholders including NSW Treasury.
  • Collaborate with finance and project teams to apply best practices and deliver measurable outcomes.
  • Support the development of robust, data-driven business cases and proposals for approval and implementation.
  • Mentor and develop team capabilities, fostering continuous improvement, innovation, and a learning culture.
  • Manage stakeholder relationships to ensure alignment with legislative, policy, and customer expectations.
 Required Skills and Qualifications: 
  • Tertiary qualifications in finance, accounting, or equivalent, including full CA or CPA accreditation.
  • Extensive experience leading the development and analysis of complex financial models in government or large organizations.
  • Experience in business case development, financial modeling, cost-benefit analysis, or economic evaluation.
  • Strong financial knowledge and analytical skills, capable of interrogating large datasets to generate actionable insights.
  • Excellent reporting, presentation, and communication skills.
  • Strategic thinking, organizational skills, and the ability to influence strategy through collaboration and data-driven decisions.
