About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Risk Management Specialist to join our team in Sydney, NSW.


Duties and Responsibilities

  2. Credit Control and Debt Collection: Monitor premiums that fall due or overdue, send monthly broker statements, liaise with underwriters, brokers, and management to progress the collection process, reconcile brokers' statements/payments made to offshore service centers, monitor & match receipts and unallocated receipts, and liaise with the team responsible for Premium Booking/Resolving Discrepancies.
  3. Monthly Reporting: Prepare and submit monthly credit control balances analysis to the APAC Credit Control Manager.
  4. Premium Status Review: Review premium status and respond to Operations before settlement of claims & refund premiums.
  5. Ad Hoc Projects: Undertake ad hoc projects as directed by the APAC Credit Control Manager.
  6. Compliance and Professionalism: Adhere to all internal company procedures where applicable, including administrative procedures, expenses, health & safety, and ensure you represent AXA XL in a professional and appropriate manner.

Requirements and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:



  • Proven experience in a similar role, with insurance experience being essential.
  • Experience working in a Financial Services environment.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present confidently and articulately to internal/external audiences.
  • Excellent attention to detail and a meticulous eye for identifying inconsistencies or inaccuracies in data entry or data outputs.
  • The ability to work comfortably within a team, taking ownership of your work and identifying opportunities for improvement.
  • A resilient and adaptable style, with a track record of remaining calm in demanding circumstances.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office programs, particularly Excel (including the ability to manage macros), Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint.
