The position of Agricultural Operations Director is a crucial role within our client's organisation, responsible for driving the productivity of their farming operations. Company Overview
Our client is a leading sugar manufacturer with extensive experience in sugarcane production. They operate 1800 hectares of sugarcane farms and are seeking a highly skilled individual to take on the role of Agricultural Operations Director. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the entire farming operation, ensuring maximum efficiency and productivity.

Job Description
As the Agricultural Operations Director, you will be responsible for managing and directing farm personnel, including contractors, while ensuring compliance with workplace health and safety obligations. You will also be required to use appropriate techniques and equipment, manage complex tasks, and implement pest and disease control measures. Additionally, you will be responsible for designing and implementing irrigation schedules to maximise water use efficiency and production.

Required Skills and Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need to have extensive knowledge and experience in agriculture and farm management. A well-developed people management style is essential, and experience in irrigation would be highly regarded. A current driver's licence, first aid certificate, and HR truck licence are desirable qualifications.

Remuneration and Location
The successful candidate will receive a very attractive remuneration package, including salary, superannuation, car, computer, and phone. An on-farm 4-bedroom house will be available rent-free for the first 12 months. A discretionary bonus will be payable based on company performance. The estimated annual salary for this role is $120,000 - $150,000 AUD, depending on experience and qualifications.
