**Food Safety and Quality Assurance Professional Role:**

We seek an accomplished Food Safety and Quality Assurance Manager to lead our Queensland site.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Oversee daily food safety and quality operations at a multifaceted further processing facility.
  • Guarantee data accuracy, integrity, and clarity in presenting food safety and quality information.
  • Lead, develop, and nurture the Food Safety and Quality team.
  • Foster a robust food safety culture on-site, ensuring full implementation of corporate standards.
  • Identify and communicate food safety and quality risks, escalating as necessary.
  • Implement Continuous Improvement Initiatives and support Change Management efforts for food safety and quality perspectives.
  • Educate the team on food safety and quality standards, parameters, and specifications for all products produced.
  • Contribute to internal audits, ensuring robustness, identifying, and escalating risks.
  • Assess and manage process deviations with risk assessment and management options.

**Essential Skills and Qualifications:**

  • Tertiary qualification in Food Science, Biotechnology, or equivalent industry experience/qualification.
  • Thorough knowledge of HACCP and Quality/Risk Management programs.
  • Substantial industry experience (10+ years), preferably in animal protein.
  • Understanding of supplier raw material performance impact.
  • Ability to establish and maintain food safety and quality systems.
  • Significant People Management and Leadership Experience in senior roles.
  • Experience managing external/customer audits.
  • Data analysis and presentation skills.
  • Influencing, developing, and teaching others.
