Nursing Assistant Role

Looking for a rewarding career in customer-facing services? Our organisation is seeking an experienced Nursing Assistant to join our team. As a key member of our donor centre, you will play a vital role in supporting donors through their donation process.

  • Greet and interview potential donors to understand their eligibility and suitability to donate.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to create a positive experience for donors.
  • Perform routine blood pressure and haemoglobin tests to ensure donor safety.
  • Set up machines and collections equipment to facilitate efficient donations.
  • Insert and remove needles safely to collect whole blood, plasma, and platelets.
  • Monitor donors post-donation and assist them with rebooking their next donation.

This is a permanent part-time opportunity, working 56 hours per fortnight on a rotating roster. You will have the flexibility to work varied shifts, including weekends and afternoon shifts.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A genuine passion for delivering exceptional customer service.
  • The ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Familiarity with basic medical procedures and equipment.
  • A willingness to learn and adapt to new processes and technologies.
