
Child and Family Wellbeing Support Specialist

Our organisation offers early intervention support to children and young people experiencing anxiety, depression, or behavioural issues. We use a child-centred approach to help them manage strong feelings and emotions and build resilience.
The role involves delivering skill-building activities, whole-of-family sessions, individual sessions with children, and workshops to promote social and emotional wellbeing in children and young people.
About This Role">This position is part of our Child & Family Wellbeing Service, which provides essential support to vulnerable communities. You will work collaboratively with families, schools, and community services to deliver effective solutions.
As a skilled professional, you will have the opportunity to develop your skills and knowledge in a dynamic and supportive environment.
Required Skills and Qualifications">To be successful in this role, you will need a degree qualification in social work, human services, psychology, or a similar field. You must also have at least 12 months of experience in the Community Services Sector in Early Intervention, Child Protection, or Mental Health.

- At least 12 months experience in the Community Services Sector in Early Intervention, Child Protection or Mental Health
- Child centred and strengths based approach to working with children and families in a mental health context
- Clear understanding of child protection issues and mandatory reporting responsibilities
- Delivery of parenting support and/ or parenting group facilitation is desirable
- High level written and verbal communication
- Understanding of the needs of diverse communities such as Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander, culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD), and LGBTIQA+ communities
