Family Support Specialist

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Family Support Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will work closely with families in their homes and communities, providing tailored support solutions that cater to the unique needs of children, young people, and their families.

About the Role
  • Provide intensive family support, implementing evidence-based interventions to improve safety and wellbeing outcomes for children and their families
  • Work alongside government and community stakeholders to deliver wrap-around support, promoting collaborative partnerships
  • Conduct home visits, engaging in early intervention strategies to enhance family functioning and resilience

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Support families to access community resources, education, and employment pathways, fostering long-term stability and success
  2. Develop and implement personalized support plans, addressing the complex needs of each family unit
  3. Collaborate with healthcare professionals, social workers, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless service delivery and optimal outcomes
Requirements
  • Working with Children Blue Card and NDIS Worker Screening Check (or willingness to obtain prior to commencement)
  • Availability to work across a full shift pattern, including mornings, evenings, and sleepovers
  • Valid Driver's Licence and access to a vehicle
  • A relevant Bachelor's Degree, Diploma, or Certificate IV in Community Services, Youth/Social Work, or a related field
  • Experience working with young people/children and in related fields, such as Family Support, Child Safety, and Family Development
