Credit Controller Role

Our organization is seeking a skilled Credit Controller to join its national Finance team. This key role requires strong credit management skills and experience working with high volumes of data.

  • Monitor and review debtor positions to reduce outstanding balances and improve debtor turnover days.
  • Work closely with Partners to track WIP and debtor balances, supporting consistent and timely billing practices.
  • Maintain client exposures within established credit limits and provide support managing WIP adjustments and bad debts.
  • Ensure timely payment of debts including processing credit notes as required.
  • Investigate and resolve disputes/queries in a timely and effective manner. Assist with client payment plans.
  • Assist with the firm's internal and external recovery process in conjunction with Partners and Management.
  • Provide guidance to staff and Partners on working capital management-related queries.
  • Report to management and Partners on outstanding issues, highlighting potential debtor and WIP risk.

This is an ideal opportunity for individuals who have proven experience in credit control, collections and risk management.

Key Responsibilities and Requirements
  • Proven experience in credit control, collections and risk management.
  • High level of accuracy and efficiency when processing high volumes.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • Experience with Aderant (preferred but not essential).
  • Excellent time management, attention to detail and strong organisational skills.
  • Clear and professional communication skills.
