Job OpportunityWe are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Principal Ecologist or Senior Ecologist to join our team in Canberra, ACT. As a key member of our national ecology team, you will be responsible for leading ecological initiatives, providing technical expertise, and mentoring staff.
Key Responsibilities- Lead ecological assessments, habitat surveys, and impact analyses
- Develop and implement growth strategies for the ecology workstream in ACT
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders to deliver sustainable solutions
- Conduct bird and bat utilization surveys and blade strike and barotrauma impact assessments
- Minimum 10+ years of experience as a Principal Ecologist and 5+ years as a Senior Ecologist
- Degree qualified in ecology, environmental science, zoology, botany, or a related discipline
- BAM accredited assessor or extensive experience in BAM and/or other biometric data capture and analysis
- Strong understanding of relevant legislation, regulations, and environmental policies
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
