The Safety Business Partner plays a crucial part in supporting the business to cultivate a robust and engaged Health and Safety function.

This role focuses on leading the implementation of an integrated safety business model, driving critical safety processes, building a proactive and interdependent safety culture, influencing key stakeholders, and championing continuous improvement across the branch network.

Flexibility is offered to be based at any of our Melbourne sites.

Key Responsibilities:

- Deliver work health and safety strategy in line with the business model.
- Coach and support operational leaders across the branch network.
- Contribute to enhancing health and safety performance and address incident trends.
- Lead incident investigations, identify hazards, and conduct risk assessments.
- Assist leaders in implementing and communicating health and safety policy, standards, programs, and procedures.
- Ensure that safety systems comply with local legislation.
- Conduct audits of business processes associated with inherently high-risk activities.
- Support introducing new health and safety initiatives through delivering training sessions.

Additionally, you will have:

- A demonstrated background in WH&S in an operational environment.
- Technical knowledge of WH&S business mode integration.
- Strong communication and influencing skills.
- Experience in conducting risk assessments and incident investigations.
- An innovative approach to safety with a proactive attitude.
- Commitment to safety compliance.
