Business Development Role Overview

The role of Business Development Manager - Connections at ElectraNet is crucial in supporting customers through the transmission connection process and project development. This involves proactively engaging with existing customer relationships and facilitating activities with internal stakeholders such as technical engineering and project management teams.

This position plays a key role in identifying and developing business opportunities, managing revenue streams, and driving business outcomes. The successful candidate will possess advanced project management, commercial, and business acumen skills, strong stakeholder engagement abilities, and a deep understanding of customer connections, business development processes, contract negotiation, and governance.

To be successful in this role, you will require a strong track record of building influential relationships across diverse stakeholder groups, developing proactive, innovative customer solutions, and driving business growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage revenue opportunities in line with legislative frameworks.
  • Develop and manage connection opportunities and BOOM (build, own, operate and maintain) business opportunities and other services.
  • Prepare proposals, bids, and transactions for new business opportunities, including the transaction closing life cycle.
  • Manage contractual agreements and negotiations with clients.
  • Develop and maintain strategic relationships with external clients and internal stakeholders.
