Senior Business Development Role

This is a new business focused position selling to the enterprise sector in Australia and New Zealand.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Reporting to the Chief Revenue Officer (CRO) and focusing on heavily regulated industry verticals e.g. Banking, Financial Services, Insurance, Legal, Professional Services and Government.
  • Net new logo acquisition and upselling new software modules to existing enterprise customers.
  • Handing off accounts to a dedicated account management and Customer Success Management (CSM) team after they have been onboarded.
  • Achieving monthly, quarterly and annual revenue sales targets through effective territory, forecasting and pipeline management.
  • Representing the organisation at industry events with executive level presentations and contract negotiations.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum 3 years' experience working as Business Development Manager / Account Executive in the technology sales industry, preferably for a recognised Software as a Service (SaaS)/Platform as a Service (PaaS) vendor.

They will need to demonstrate a track record of success working in a 360-degree (outbound-focused) new business hunting role where they haven't relied on a Sales Development Representative/Business Development Representative (SDR/BDR) team to book their meetings.

Additionally, they will be able to clearly and quickly articulate business benefits of the company's solutions, possess an entrepreneurial mindset and superior presentation and negotiation skills.
