Lead Measurement Expert

The preferred work base for this role is Sydney.

About the Job:

This position offers a unique opportunity to lead the development and delivery of Australia's sovereign capability in chemical and biological measurements. The successful candidate will connect these capabilities to needs across various industries, from trade and energy to health, law enforcement, and the environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead specialist teams in unique laboratory facilities at North Ryde and Lindfield in Sydney.
  • Represent the organization and collaborate with stakeholders nationwide and internationally.
  • Deliver high-quality services to governments, industry, and the community while conducting research and development to enhance measurement capabilities.

Requirements:

  • A strong track record of leading teams that develop technical capabilities and deliver commercial services.
  • Outstanding customer, stakeholder, and partner engagement and collaboration skills, with a solution-oriented mindset.
  • Experience leading, managing, and mentoring staff, developing team culture, and implementing positive work practices.
  • Demonstrated experience with or ability to quickly acquire knowledge of measurement functions, supporting science infrastructure, and quality and safety management systems.

Eligibility:

  • Must be an Australian citizen.
  • Ability to obtain at least a Baseline security clearance.
