Job Opportunity: Indigenous Genomics Network Coordinator

The University seeks a skilled professional to lead the development of a jurisdictional node for the National Roadmap for implementation of Pharmacogenomics for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Establish a local governance structure to support the development of key deliverables.
  • Consult and engage with partners and stakeholders to ensure effective involvement and participation.
  • Develop and coordinate workforce development initiatives with stakeholders.
  • Support the development of local and national Indigenous genomic policies.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Education training and/or experience equivalent to a degree in business administration, project management, biomedical science, public or population health, research, policy, and/or Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander studies.
  • Demonstrated experience working with Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander people, families, communities, service providers, and organisations.
  • Experience conducting or supporting research involving Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander peoples and communities.
  • Project management skills, including financial/budget management.
  • Stakeholder engagement experience and expertise, particularly in relation to working with and for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander stakeholders and their interests.
