About the Position:

  • The primary responsibility of the midwife is to deliver comprehensive evidence-based midwifery care for clients within the scope of practice of a midwife.
  • Providing clinical supervision for newly qualified midwives and students dependent on level of experience.

Caseload Model of Care:

  • Provide competent holistic evidence-based midwifery care within the scope of a midwife, within a caseload model of care known as Midwife Group Practice.
  • Provides continuity of midwifery care throughout the continuum of pregnancy labour birth and the postnatal period.

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • A valid working visa or Australian citizenship/PR status.
  • Qualification and registration requirements from the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia.
  • A commitment to modelling organisational values safety and quality improvement and the Code of Conduct.
