Job Title: Senior Clinician - Developmental Disability Service
Description: This is a senior clinical position within the Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAMHS), where you will be responsible for providing clinical expertise to children, adolescents, and their families with mental health issues and developmental disability-related health concerns.
- You will deliver direct expert care to individual clients or groups of clients, offer consultation and support to other CAMHS teams and staff, and provide clinical leadership to multidisciplinary staff.
- In addition, you will assume a clinical/professional leadership role within the team, undertaking professional supervision of staff within their team or across other teams.
- Contributing to quality and safety improvements in services across CAMHS and within specific service areas.
About You: To be successful in this role, you will need to have appropriate degree or equivalent qualification for your respective discipline. You must have demonstrated experience in developmental disability and child and adolescent mental health work, having a wide range of emotional and behavioural issues.
- You will also need to have proven leadership experience, including the ability to coordinate workflow and the work of others, ensuring that work meets required standards.
- Motivate other professional staff and foster team member participation in decision making.
- Demonstrated highly developed skills in communication, problem solving, conflict resolution and negotiation skills.
- Apply specialist skills in resolving complex clinical problems.
- Work effectively in a multidisciplinary team, across teams and with a range of agencies.
- Liaise and present information to all levels of management and staff, administrative and clinical, as well as key personnel from other agencies.
