This position offers a dynamic leadership role within the Women’s and Children’s Health Network, overseeing the Postnatal Ward and Midwifery Home Visiting service. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing exceptional care to new mothers and their newborns.
About the RoleThe successful candidate will leverage their clinical expertise to coordinate and lead a multidisciplinary team, ensuring continuity and quality of patient care. They will also be accountable for the outcomes of midwifery practices and teams, addressing inconsistencies between practice and policy.
Main Responsibilities- Lead a multidisciplinary team to provide high-quality patient care.
- Oversee the Postnatal Ward and Midwifery Home Visiting service.
- Develop and implement models of care that are person and family-centred.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless patient care.
To succeed in this role, you must be a Registered Midwife or Nurse and Midwife with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (NMBA). You should possess effective leadership skills, highly developed communication abilities, and experience in management, leadership, problem-solving, negotiation, and conflict management.
Essential Qualifications- A Registered Midwife or Nurse and Midwife with the NMBA.
