Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated professional to join our team as a Senior Child Protection Specialist. In this role, you will work collaboratively with children, families, and carers to provide high-quality, culturally appropriate child protection services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Engagement and Support: Effectively engage with children, families, and carers to support them in meeting their identified case plan goals.
  • Casework Support: Provide individualized, high-quality casework support to children and families subject to tertiary child protection intervention.
  • Network Development: Work collaboratively with key stakeholders to establish and strengthen effective safety and support networks for children and families.
  • Advice and Guidance: Provide comprehensive casework support and advice to inform decisions about the safety and protective needs of children.
  • Team Collaboration: Participate effectively as a team member in a multidisciplinary team to deliver well-planned family support services.
  • Professional Development: Actively contribute to a culture of continuous learning, training, and professional development to ensure practice knowledge and skills are contemporary and evidence-based.
  • Record Keeping: Prepare and maintain quality case records in accordance with departmental case management requirements.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team. You will also need to have a strong understanding of child protection principles and practices, as well as the ability to provide high-quality, culturally appropriate services to children and families.
