Pipeline Integrity Advisor


Overview:

This is a key role for an experienced Pipeline Integrity Engineer who will provide expert advice to clients on pipeline integrity matters. The position involves executing jobs of varying sizes and complexity, providing crucial pipeline integrity guidance from strategic and front-line perspectives.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Anomaly Assessment and Analysis: Identify and evaluate anomalies in pipelines to ensure optimal integrity.
  • Defect Assessment, Fitness for Service Calculations and Modelling: Conduct thorough assessments of defects in pipelines to determine their impact on the overall integrity of the system.
  • Failure Investigations: Investigate failures in pipelines to identify root causes and recommend corrective actions.
  • Pipeline Management Systems Benchmarking and Audits: Evaluate the effectiveness of pipeline management systems and perform audits to ensure compliance with industry standards.

Requirements:
  • Mechanical Engineering Degree: A bachelor's or master's degree in mechanical engineering is required for this role.
  • Work Experience: 5-10 years of experience in an integrity function within the hydrocarbons or chemical environment.
  • CMMS Interface Familiarity: Familiarity with computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) interfaces such as SAP and workflow.
  • Local and International Standards Understanding: Strong understanding of local and international standards covering high-pressure pipelines and associated equipment.
  • Integrity Management Software Understanding: Proficiency in computerized integrity management software/databases.
  • Risk Management and Process Safety Concepts: Exposure to risk management and process safety concepts, including FFS and RBI assessment.
