Clinical Nurse/Midwife Educator Role

Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Clinical Nurse/Midwife Educator to enhance the skills and knowledge of nursing and midwifery professionals within our Local Health District.

This position plays a key role in identifying development needs, designing tailored education plans, and delivering impactful training to ensure high competency and compliance across the ward.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and deliver targeted education programs for nursing and midwifery staff.
  • Collaborate with unit managers to shape patient care through education and best practices.
  • Lead clinical excellence initiatives to empower professionals with evidence-based learning.
  • Identify and address gaps in knowledge and skills to improve patient outcomes.
Requirements
  • Current registration as a Registered Nurse and/or Registered Midwife with AHPRA.
  • Relevant post-registration education qualification or equivalent clinical experience.
  • Recent extensive clinical experience deemed appropriate by the selection panel.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a consultative approach.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and foster a culture of continuous learning.
