Job Title: Healthcare Specialist

Role Description:

  • This is an exciting opportunity for dedicated healthcare professionals to join our dynamic Sexual Health service in a casual capacity.
  • The role offers the chance to deliver high-quality, client-centred care within the Sexual Health and HIV service, supporting individuals through comprehensive screening, treatment, and management of Sexually Transmitted Infections (STIs) and Blood Borne Viruses (BBVs).
  • You will play a vital role in promoting sexual wellbeing and public health, while working in a collaborative and progressive clinical environment that values expertise, empathy, and innovation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality care to patients with STIs and BBVs
  • Conduct comprehensive screenings and testing for STIs and BBVs
  • Develop and implement individualised care plans for patients with STIs and BBVs
  • Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to provide holistic care
  • Provide education and support to patients on sexual health and wellbeing

Requirements:

  • Australian Registered Nurse with current registration
  • Minimum 3 years Post Graduate experience
  • Demonstrated understanding of the sensitive nature of Sexual Health and the importance of confidentiality
  • Demonstrated ability to work well in a Multidisciplinary team
  • Demonstrated competency in Venepuncture
  • Accredited Nurse Immuniser or willingness to complete relevant training
  • Demonstrated effective communication with patients, clinical and non-clinical staff
