">Job Description

We are seeking a Special Needs Education Assistant to join our team. The successful applicant will work closely with the Deputy Principal Inclusive Learning, Lead Education Assistants and classroom teachers to implement specialised education programs.

The role involves working across the school, including within our endorsed Education Support Program. The ability to implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and Behaviour Support Plans, as well as support student's daily living requirements, is essential.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Demonstrated good written and oral communication skills, including the ability to interact with students with special needs, parents and teaching professionals.
  • Demonstrated good interpersonal skills, including the ability to work as part of a team in the evaluation of educational programs.
  • Demonstrated good organisational skills that will assist in the delivery and development of effective education programs.
  • Demonstrated ability to assist teachers or therapists in implementing educational programs.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of health and physical disabilities in students and adolescents.
